Join us at JRF’s High Hat Tea Party on Sunday, April 18th. This fun event features a silent auction, live auction, and games for kids. In keeping with tradition, guests are encouraged to wear hats. In fact, prizes will be awarded for the most fanciful, elegant and outrageous hats!
This year’s Tea will be at the State Botanical Garden in the Garden Club of Georgia’s Terrace Room. Space is filling up! We can’t take any more reserved seats, but make sure to RSVP for $20 general reservations. Children are free.

JRF Scholar Mimi Daniel included in ASUA Art Show
JRF is proud to announce, that current scholar Mimi Daniel has recently been highlighted for her artwork by the University of Arizona art club, FACE.
Mimi is a single-parent, an art teacher at a local Arizona elementary school, as well as a full-time BFA 3D student at the University of Arizona. “As a Christian artist, she attempts to envelop her faith, her love of her children, and her interest in whimsy, literature, and her Irish heritage into her art.” Mimi’s work has been included in a juried show, The Four Seasons , in Tucson, Arizona.
Although Mimi had multiple works showcased, her piece chosen by a panel of judges to be in the art show has already sold – Congratulations, Mimi!

Mayor Heidi Davison to present Proclamation with JRF
Jeannette Rankin Women’s Scholarship Fund invites you attend an event in recognition of International Women’s Day. Mayor Heidi Davison will present a Proclamation expressing the importance of education to women’s progress worldwide. The event will take place on March 8, 2010 at 11:00 am at Athens City Hall.
International Women’s Day celebrates the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. This year’s theme is “Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities: Progress for All.”
