How to Apply

APPLICATION

The Jeannette Rankin Foundation is not currently accepting applications.  Instructions for downloading the application for the 2009 school year will be available on this page from November 2008 through February 2009.

PERSONAL STATEMENT

The Jeannette Rankin Foundation application requires an essay,w hich is an important part of your application.  It is your opportunity to share your goals, your plan for reaching your goals and the benefit of your education. Complete instructions will be provided on the application.

REFERENCES

The application will include instructions for obtaining two letters of recommendation.

PROOF OF ENROLLMENT OR ACCEPTANCE

Applicants will need to be currently enrolled in the school they plan to attend in the fall of 2009, or they will need to be accepted to the school they plan to attend in the fall of 2009.

MAKE COPIES

JRF requires two complete sets of your application materials.  Full instructions will be provided on the application.

All applications and supporting documents become the property of JRF and will not be returned.

WHERE TO MAIL

Completed applications should be mailed to P.O. Box 6653, Athens, GA 30604, using first-class postage. (The deadline for the 2008 school year was March 1, 2008.  The next deadline will be March 1, 2009.)  Applications will not be accepted by fax or e-mail.

SELECTION

Selected recipients for the 2008 school year will be notified by phone and their names will be posted on our website by 7/1/08. If you are not selected for the 2008 school year, you are encouraged to reapply for 2009.  Selected recipient for the 2009 school year will be announced by 7/1/09.
