Sue Lawrence joined the Jeannette Rankin Foundation in February, 2004. Ms. Lawrence seeks to grow support for JRF on the national level, since women recipients are from across the U.S. In her first years leading JRF, she helped grow income while keeping expenses within the allotted budget. In addition, she developed a strong internship program to add capacity to the workforce. Prior to joining the JRF staff, she owned a graphic design business and worked to help small businesses, governmental agencies and non-profit organizations grow. She received a 2003 Chamber Champion Award for distinguished service to the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce, and was the 2005 Chair of the Women In Business Council. Ms. Lawrence is a graduate of LEAD Athens 2005 and is a the 2007 recipient of the Athena Award. She is involved in community service organizations that work to break the cycle of poverty.
Andrea Anderson, Program Coordinator

As the Program Coordinator, Andrea Anderson oversees the application review and selection process. She works closely with JRF scholars and their financial aid offices to ensure that the scholarships are awarded in a way that best supports each woman. Ms. Anderson has been with the foundation since 2001. In that time, she has strengthened JRF's relationship with scholars by increasing communication and support. Ms. Anderson earned a bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Georgia and is a member of the National Scholarship Providers Association.

Sue Plaksin joined Jeannette Rankin Foundation in early 2008. As Program Assistant, Ms. Plaksin's responsibilities include database management, event planning and coordination, and helping with the day-to-day operations of the Foundation. Ms. Plaksin received a dual bachelor's degree in Sociology and Philosophy from Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina, a Master of Arts degree in Sociology and a Master of Science in Information Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
