Wendy of Ohio is close to achieving her goal of graduating with a degree in accounting. "I had four years of advance math in high school and have always enjoyed math, taxes, and budgeting, so I think this will be a good match for my skills and interests."
“It is my desire after graduation I would be able to volunteer and assist low-income single mothers with their taxes and budgeting. I have a heart to help women as I empathize with how circumstances can accumulate and seem to paralyze your ability to take care of your family."
Not only is Wendy caring for her daughters and cleaning houses for a living, she is maintaining a high GPA in demanding courses. "My girls are proud of me and witness their mother persevering." Wendy's son is a junior in college now, studying counseling, she says: "He is altruistic and concerned about the welfare of others, and I believe that I raised him that way."back
