Program Coordinator
As Program Coordinator, April is responsible for managing the scholarship program. She oversees the application and scholar selection process, trains and coordinates volunteers for application screening and review, develops and maintains JRF’s relationship with scholars, and engages in advocacy/outreach work regarding women’s issues, poverty, and women’s education. April loves working closely with JRF scholars and is inspired by their unique accomplishments and challenges. A University of Georgia alumna, April earned her bachelor’s degree in Women’s Studies and is interested in examining and eradicating barriers to higher education, increasing access to locally grown food, and playing with her sweet beagle puppy, Henry.
