Absolutely! Circles which raise $2,500 or more can choose to fund and name a scholarship.

How will the Jeannette Rankin Foundation support the Circles?

We will provide:

  • materials to help recruit Circle members
  • tips on fundraising

What is the legal relationship of the Circles to the Foundation?

Giving Circles are not official units of JRF, leaving them free to choose their own participants, schedule meetings, and raise funds. The Circles are groups of people pooling their resources to make a significant contribution to JRF's mission of helping low-income women earn a college education. Federal tax law requires that all money raised in the name of the Jeannette Rankin Foundation be accounted for and sent to the Foundation's office. In return, contributors will receive a thank you letter of acknowledgment for their donation.
